Built by the industry, for the industry

Toronto, Ontario — AMENA Auto and Georgian College have partnered to launch the Georgian Global Dealer Academy, a regionally-tailored, executive-level training platform for mid- and senior-level dealership staff in the Middle East and North Africa region.

AMENA is the Automotive Association for the Middle East and North Africa, and Georgian is a multi-campus college in Central Ontario, renowned for Automotive business education. With six campuses—Midland, Muskoka, Orangeville, Orillia, Owen Sound, South Georgian Bay—in addition to the main Barrie location, Georgian has more than 13,000 full-time students.

Kevin Weaver, president and chief executive officer of Georgian College, is leading the initiative, and AMENA Auto is Georgian’s regional partner. Georgian offers more than 130 programs, including skilled trades such as automotive aftermarket management, small business trades management and mechanical techniques. The Automotive Business School of Canada offers the only four-year Automotive business degree in the country, featuring courses such as Automotive Parts and Service Essentials, Dealership Management Systems and Concepts of the Automotive Industry.

Georgian is not reusing their current curriculum; instead, the college has re-engineered its offerings to the business realities, cultural fabric and the diverse needs of the MENA Automotive ecosystem, according to AMENA Auto.

They have been working together for more than a year, and a social media post by AMENA Auto states that the program is built by the industry, for the industry, focused on real dealership transformation and localized for the realities of the AMENA market.
